The National EXCO of the Association of Environmental Lawyers of Nigeria (AELN), represented by National Secretary E. A. Essang, Esq, and National Treasurer Justice Chigonu, PhD, paid a courtesy call on Her Excellency, Bishop Dr. Eyoanwan Bassey Otu, CGAN, First Lady of Cross River State.
During the visit, the AELN National EXCO discussed potential areas of collaboration with Her Excellency, which she gladly welcomed and accepted.
The proposed partnerships included hosting a National Inter-Universities Debate in her honour, an environmental awareness campaign programme, a tree planting exercise, and incorporation of the Association into the Cross River State Green Economy Commission.
Her Excellency expressed gratitude to the Association for recognizing the efforts of the Cross River State government, led by her husband, His Excellency Sen. Prince Bassey Otu, in protecting the environment.
